No, Duncan, you are making a false assumption. There are a few scientists at the fringe of the libertarian far right who believe that global warming is a natural occurrence that reverses course by itself. I would love to get the facts straight, but what you are arguing is not necessarily factual at all. Although the Petroleum Institute wants us all to believe them!! I am also lost when you say that Gore says we may not be responsible for global warming. Why? Do you have a quote or something?
