I agree, it seems reasonable for NSM and AMD to demand at least a small slice of the very big pie, but when it comes to technology it appears to be a winner takes all mentality. Look at MSFT, DELL, INTC and CSCO. Each seems to dominate their respective industry. Competition to those companies seem to be just fighting over the crumbs. When it comes to technolgy its either you are first or you are last. Not much of an in between.

I think Jalapeno will not even support SMP.

Your correct, there is no way that a CPU with an integrated north bridge could support MP.
