Ken, I can understand how a slowdown in subscriber growth is looked upon as negative. But I don't understand how an increase in ARPU can be ignored. According to my calculations an increase of $1 in ARPU will generate more income than an additional 25,000 subscribers.

2,400,000 customers X $12(annual increase in ARPU) = $28,800,000
25,000 additional customers at $69 ARPU ($828 annual) = 20,700,000

I know there are other factors to consider, but if todays action is primarily caused by the lowered subscriber growth relative to last quarter, it is unjustified, IMO.

Better days ahead,

Ron

Ken: "A pause in Nextel..." WHAT PAUSE??? The sub growth continues, the increasing revenues continues, the building of infrastructure continues! The only disappointing news is NI.
