Thank, Rhonda. The price volume action in HWP (before the fed rate cut) indicates fear of mild recession during half of '99 is already priced in, the same should be true for other liquid, big-cap beaten-down stocks.

Witness the stocks that were bought heavily after the Fed cut was announced, the timing of this event was a surprise that could not be predicted. Stocks like LU, DELL, MSFT, CSCO, AOL, GE and of course the financials soared ... story stocks like RMBS and WIND and IMNX hardly budged. Says to me that the big boys had program buys ready for the big-cap solid stocks ... while small-cap story stocks were out-of-sight, out-of-mind.
