<< a President Indicted on charges of burglary battery,or cannibalism would be impeached>> Sure these would fall under the "high crimes" category. high crimes ,we agree that this means serious crimes right? Why would they say serious crimes only then turn around and say misdemeanors meaning bad behavior. This assumes that regular crimes[as opposed to high or serious crimes] are a less offense than bad behavior .Makes no sense. <<115 Americans serving time for perjury>> How many convicted but not serving any time for perjury, must be thousands.Clearly each case must be looked at differently.Perjury in a civil case that has been dismissed. This must fall on the low end of the serious scale. Now please don't say that perjury is perjury and all must face the same penalty. You know that doesn't apply. <<It'a not an exception to the Constitution it's the purpose of the Constitution.>>Well this is in the end what we are debating isn't it?

Ok all you constitutional scholars, if memory serves... term limits weren't in place when the constitution was drafted. When was the 8 year (two term) limit put in place?
