lee--

i know how you feel, and you make a good point about japan, though i feel they are not inflating their economy so much as they are reinflating it. this brings an interesting, at least to me, side note... every night i check the nikkei to see what might happen tomorrow. it has occured to me that looking at it for a proxy on europe or the US is silly since traditional savings in japan is much higher than in the US where funds are put into equities.

at any rate, this entire thing is really confusing as i feel that we are being manipulated by people who are not very intelligent and are motivated by fear and greed. fear of losing investor confidence (the new masters of the universe are playing with small investor money) and greed in keeping the gravy train going.

still, what is the saying...a puzzle wrapped in an enigma surrounded by a conundrum<G>(or something to that effect). its like layers on a really smelly onion, the more you peel back, the more nauseous you get.

good luck to all,
trey
