I know that, otherwise Intel would have a tough time pushing AGP to 266 MHz (the AGP 4x mode) while keeping costs down.

My question is what are the advantages and disadvantages between multiple P2P connections and a multiprocessor bus. Intel and Sequent are going for multiprocessor buses. AMD and Digital (?) are going for P2P connections.

As for the books, I would appreciate your recommendations.
