Jim, I like your weighted reasoning.

It was Bell Mobility's write-off of their one year old TDMA system (I believe $50 million plus) that got me *really* interested. That was a couple years ago. Now, I'm quite content to wait for Cantel et all to get the same "Wack on the Side of the Head".

On the Bell Canada front, they are now starting to link their wireless operations with both local and long distance service. On the local front, we have SimplyOne. Same number for home and mobile phone. Todate, it is only available with their analog offering but like all things, this will soon change. On the long distance front, we can now get after hours 10 cents a minute on both our home and wireless phone through Bell Mobility. I see this one as marketing smoke and mirrors who's only purpose is the retention of long distance market share. Both our wireline and wireless providers share the pocketbook of the same parent. However, I do take it as a sign that wire and wireless operations are starting to come together.

We live in an area where the telephone infrastructure is 40 plus years old. For the last five years, deteriorating cable has been a serious problem. Always shorting out in the rain and snow. The company had an opportunity (hydro went underground) and was strongly lobbied to replace and bury the cable a couple of years ago. They weren't interested. My bet is we will be near the top of the list for WLL whenever it arrives. I can't wait for my neighbour to chop down the ugly telephone pole. It blocks his view and he has been complaining about it and threatening that action for years.
