Thank you very much Scott on your trendline example, very simple and easy to understand and very profitable in the volatile days we have now. I used this method to see what would have happened with CPWR.

I would have bought at 38 last Thursday, sold at 48 on Tuesday, bought back in at 43 and still hold today at 49. If short when selling long positions, it would have netted 10+5+6 = 21 on the initial position of 38 or 55%. Well I would have been happy using this method if I was in cash at 38 instead I was fully invested in CPWR at 50, so I am happy to see it rebound here at 49 and will try to follow this technique.
