That is why I said Favors had no technical reason yet to say that the market would go lower before going higher, no matter how confident he sounded during interviews. Resistance levels must be tested HARD, and either hold or break ... just as supports must be tested HARD.

Wow, SPY went crazy thru its 200-day ema. Time to mull over how the investing/trading environment has changed for the intermediate term. My sense is still another rate cut in Nov is a given. A falling dollar is also good for emerging nations ... mitigates the risk of their currency devaluation. Now if the IMF comes out with a palatable package to bail Brazil, the Latin markets will rally ... so will the Asian markets, to be sure there will be a snowball effect on the US markets.
