The fake Muskie letter and the republican operative who did the dirty deed are pretty well known facts. I believe he was interviewed on 60 minutes, long ago. Muskie was the candidate they feared the most, because of his stature, so they torpedoed him during the primary. Hey, am I the only one over forty here, or do you folks have short memories?
