FWIW, Disney created Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in conjunction with a distributor. When Oswald was taken away from him by the distributor, he founded the Walt Disney Studios and found a marketable product in Steamboat Willy (which actually was based on a mouse he kept in his drawer). He used that mouse as the foundation of his company.

Hard work and idealism, not to mention a little misfortune, got him the empire that is known as Disney. But Disney is only the empire we know today because of Michael Eisner, not Walt.

So comparing Disney and RMIL, are you saying that RMIL might want to think about the prospects of cartoon mascots?
