Well, I guess that Oracle should cancel the 8i release, since Centura got there first. We know this is true because they said so. I used to follow the OODB market, and the fly-speck companies in that market were always making such claims, too. ODI was going to take all of the market that Oracle didn't cover, and this was going to be much bigger than the RDBMS market. One interesting thing is that the tone on the ObjectDesign thread hasn't changed. I think that it must be a religion rather than an investment, and I guess that Centura is the same (based on reading a few messages on that thread).
