An AGP and
a PCI will work as long as they are same identical model.

Dan, not actually. It depends on the specific card. For instance, with the Viper330 from Diamond, they both must be PCI...No mixing/matching. In fact, I think so far, Diamond has that limitation with all of their cards able to use MM in NT.

Dan
Yes it would be OK to get the AGP first.
The G200 PCI will no doubt be available by the time I am ready for multi-monitors. So I'll get the AGP now. Many other priorities before multi-monitors.
Thanks for your insite... and thanks for the tape info as well. As I previously mentioned my current 4mm DAT is not favored. I'm looking for another tape or as good as tape solution for a new PC. The recent new soon to be released Syquest Quest 4.7 and Terrastor 10 gig products bear watching. I don't know that I'm comfortable with Syqueat's future though..

I'll check out your link even though that price range is way out of my league. Thanks

Clarence

Dan, this is apparently no longer true (need for identical Matrox cards in NT 4 for multi-mon.) See my Message 5986528 .
