LS and Other, on KO, DOW and DJTA:

KO at the decision point of 66, will it ended up like AAPL? Comment in Briefing.com was negative "PE of 45 with virtually no growth since 1995".

Yesterday shorted AAPL too early and today cover too early! Made about 2 point and missed 3 point. In 39, Out 36 11/16. Anyway, a profit is a profit.

Missed today's action! Was stuck with MSPG. But lucky to get out with a 0.5 point gain. In 26 1/8, Out 26 5/8.

Any one foresee another major correction coming within this few weeks or we are all set to test 10,000? DJTA tested Jan '97 low, will DOW follow and fall to 6500?

Why AXP is on the short list as a stock that jumped inappropriately on the interest rate cut news? It was totally appropriate that it jumped along with the rest of the financial sector. AXP was moving up anyway because it has calmed investor's earnings worries earlier and just accelerated a few more points at the end.

On fading the gap up tomorrow, caution is urged. Short covering will continue and fund managers who had cashed out will be eager to redeploy tons of cash waiting on the sidelines. The unwinding of options positions ... calls have been wiped out earlier this week and it could be expected that put positions will expire worthless, that is, stocks may be pinned to strikes at the upper end of their trading range.
