The earnings number is rather good --almost too good!
Yet, I suspect most of us would feel more comfortable with ''only'' $1.7M in earnings and one more $1M in revenues... $16.6M for the quarter is weak --especially when you zero in on license revenues (up by only 16% y-o-y).
The company still gives us the feeling that the best is yet to come. Significant deals such as Dell Comp., BT, and Alcatel Telecom demonstrate that ODIS is able to penetrate these large mainstream markets. Hence, since, overall, the stockmarket is all about future expectations, we can hope for ODIS not being dumped in the coming weeks... To be sure, ODIS didn't disappoint the Street but it didn't show that momentum thing either... Hopefully, ODIS' competitive environment is rather ''friendly'': there's no way for ODIS to get just squeezed out of the OODBMS game.
Further, thanks to yesterday's surprise move by the Fed, the bulls are back in town --let's hope for some support today.

Gustave.

Damien...

I sure am pleased. IMO, they are building a future sustainable revenue stream with their license revenue and that will build over time. In the meantime, there thrust into vertical markets is giving them great visibility.

Another look at their stock price, in round numbers, is their market cap which is now 29M*6 or $174M. Sales over the past 9 months are 45M with the expectation that it will be (my guess) around $64M for the full year. That is a price to sales ratio of only 2.7.

Very conservative for a company that is growing in the 30% range, has a program to build long term sustainable revenue, is a technological leader and has a set of products that are at the front end of the continued explosive growth of the Internet.

Let the good times roll.

Lets now hear from ahahaha to temper our (at least mine) enthusiasm.

Regards
