Hi everyone:"OVER 2,750,000 COMPANIES ARE LISTED ON PRONETLINK.COM IS YOURS?" Did anyone see the beauty of this question? From the perspective of an investor, it was easy to miss and could easily be taking for granted. Here, let me lay out a simple scenario so you can tell me what you will do: The Journal of Commerce (JOC) is the paper for the import/export businesses. And let say you own an import/export related business. So, naturally you are a subscriber to JOC because you want to know what your competitors are doing and what is happening around the world that may have an impact on the import/export field. To make our little scenario even more realistic, let say you are a very busy man who may not have the time to read your daily JOC, let alone open up the newspaper. Now, on October 15, 1998, while drinking your daily dose of caffeine (oops, I mean your coffee) in the morning and looking at your Yahoo website to catch up with the latest current news and stock quotes, your copy of JOC is delivered to your desk. Operating like an automatic pilot, you pick it up and throw it onto the pile of other unread JOC paper. The soft 'thump' as the JOC land on the pile does not catch your attention but the quarter page blue color ad with a question somehow catch your eyes. The question on the Ad read: "OVER 2,750,000 COMPANIES ARE LISTED ON PRONETLINK.COM IS YOURS?" Now, if you are that person in the above scenario, what will you do? Remember, you are an owner of an import/export related business. Does the word curiosity ring a bell here? Will you be interested in knowing whether your company is listed on ProNetLink.com? An import/export website that is advertising itself in the JOC paper? I don't know about you, but I am definitely going to the ProNetLink website to see if my company is listed in the database. And guess what, before I can even find out if my company is listed, I need to be a subscriber at ProNetLink. Will I join? Hey, wait a minute, I have a 2 weeks free trial subscription to join ProNetLink! All Right! Before long... Wow, I can get import/export forms here! Wow, I can send digital printing... Wow, I can... Will anyone dare venture how many of the above scenario is taking place on October 15, 1998? Did someone mention JOC has about 4.5 million subscribers? Btw, I bought a copy of the October 15, 1998 issue of the JOC at my nearest newstand, the Ad was indeed impressive. There was no way you could miss the ad. As noted by Todd Jensen, it filled up the whole quarter page (lower left) on the front page in color! At this point, I am taking my hat off for Glenn. The quarter page ProNetLink Ad in JOC front page is surely a Great marketing move! It is simple and yet has the draw to capture your curiosity. Keep up the good work, Glenn! Prosperity to ALL! Bill on the Hill, nice poetic post you have on post #3759.
