China's State Statistics Bureau will formally announce the GDP figure at a press conference scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Beijing. However, Premier Zhu Rongji disclosed the number to a China British Business Council delegation at the end of last month. Second-quarter growth was 6.8 percent. (NI CHECO)
