Re: "Just about everyone has written an article on the K7. They all like it. I will wait for Gwennap to publish his Microprocessor Reports
on the uPF. His team will dissect the K7 and hopefully will come up
with an estimate on the Spec98int and Spect98fpu. Their analysis is
fair and just about as good as anyone in the industry. So stay tune."

Yup, just about everybody is talking about it, that's for sure, but some of us draw a distinction between hyping and delivering. Obviously you don't. I am not impressed by foil flipping of traderag quoting nearly as much as I am impressed by real available silicon. Obviously you have a different standard. Your hype didn't pan out.

Maxwell,

Re: "In the high tech business a competitive advantage is everything."

This is what I have been trying to get across to you Maxwell ... I guess
better late than never. Intel has had that technical advantage this past
1 1/2 years and AMD has suffered. (You know ... AMD has gone from $42 -> $16).
Intel will continue to have the advantage with the release of their .18um
process and much faster/larger cache CPU's. You are contrary to conventional
wisdom, Maxwell ... Yousef can teach an "old dog" new tricks. <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef
