Frank, this was separate from the AxS deal.

AT&T went through with the AxS deal and gave them a big honking contract for circuits in all the AxS cities, using 5ESS switches and SONET rings -- high capacity commercial business stuff, not residential. AxS now is Time Warner Telecom.

The deal I am referring to was to be with TW Cable to use the HFC cable network RF to provide local telephone service over the cable lines. Typical residential cable telephony stuff like Cox and MediaOne are doing now, leveraging the 5ESS switch that was put in for the AxS deal.

Yes, the AxS deal was put in place prior to 94, more like 91 or 92. But the residential piece started in 94 and never happened like they planned.
