If they used moi ~ for an ultra-responsive, super-sensitive, high-calibration erotic susceptibility meter ~ they would detect a need to double-wrap the Victoria's.

And they could save our environment from the double plastic Playboys.

Of course Real Women, or Women of The Forties, would need something impregnable.

:o)

sigh.

I can never seem to get into those projects.

It's interesting that it's not erotic content they're after, only nudity. I guess because "nudity is offensive". But I think they were really after catching arousal at the same time; stimulation; honest to goodness bona-fide prurient interest, translated straight to heart-felt lust ~ and they couldn't figure out how to do it.

Or anticipate or believe they weren't the same.

They would have had to be thinking and defining more clearly. Thank goodness. The fact they chose nudity and left eroticism scattered all over the landscape has been one of the better things about living in this century.

Back in the forties though, when the United States Post Office took on Esquire for obscenity in sending art-drawn "scantily clad" Varga girls inside the magazine through the mail ~ they knew it wasn't nudity that was the problem; it was heat. Pure prurience. Steam. Distraction. Furnace-like conditions. Grab the relief valve.

That's what they were after, and they knew it. They were after arousal.

This is too editorial, isn't it.
I was just thinking out loud. On the internet. On Rambi, where people read things expecting more of interest.
