The Russell has been strong since last Friday. In the face of a massive upswing, I would not be surprised to see buyers rotate out of small caps and into blue chips anyway since they offer much more bang for the buck. Looking at this morning's action, the Nasdaq and the Russell actually led the market higher, even when the Dow and S&P dipped continually into negative territory as the market wavered but all indexes finally took hold and went higher.
