GB, The problem has been the right wing Congress taking credit for the Republican Economic Miracle, otherwise known as the coming recession/depression. In fact, the economy was destroyed by Repulbicans in 1929 and 1974, too. <G> With that accomplishment under their belt, fake eps reports from companies, a majority in both houses and a "budget surplus" on the way, the do-nothing/know nothing conservatives didn't take needed action to fix the creaky system. There is no question at all that the Goldilocks economy was really the Cinderella economy and the limo has turned into a pumpkin.

AG was concerned about the market. He is giving birth to the minotaur over the condition of the financial system. Matters of degree. The banks and brokers have sandbagged him with profits from Oz and now they are calling for handouts to remedy the real situation. They will and are getting them. Whether it will save them or not is another question.

I only know that printing money is not the answer to this systemic problem and there will be much more pain before this crisis passes, thought there may be a few victory parades before it flares up again.
