Apple Beats Dell?

<<Apple even outdid industry leader Dell (DELL) by holding a mere six days of inventory vs. Dell's already impressive eight-day model>>

CPQ must be salivating. At least now they know that Dell's 8-day inventory is not god-given; after all AAPL managed 6 days!

So does it boil down to management, not market forces? Probably;

<<For those who question whether good management is vital to the success of a company's strategic initiatives, just look at Apple Computer (AAPL). The company reported its first profitable year in more than three years. CEO Steve Jobs can be credited for the turn-around. After all, it was upon his departure that the company went into a product and financial tailspin.>>

Just giving a little credit where it is due. <g> Go Dell.
