Regardless, 20 people is a serious development effort no matter who they are collaborating with and goes a long way to showing me that 3dfx is indeed aggressively approaching new markets. (If it were the same markets, they could do that work at home.) You can say that again. That's nearly as many people as it took Convex to build their first supercomputer! The fact that Diamond seemed to be the only boardmaker to fail their projections tells me Voodoo2 still has some life left. And DIMD still has no orderable V2 on their web site. They passed on a lot of V2 sales either just to stick it to TDFX or because they were really trying to fix their massive inventory problems.
