don,

PREM closed 10 points over Fair Value, as per CNBC and quote.com..

So the futures are up over cash, and cash has to catch up, thus the reasoning that the market will open higher...

Think of it as when PREM is higher, the market will be influenced higher, and the reverse, if it closes lower, the influence is downward on the market..

BTW, thanks for the effort, I read your index updates on TT's thread and here, and even though you didnt go golfing with Pat and me, I think you are OK..

later..

Don I heard that too

they just misspoke

you just have to listen for those kinds of things
like when Bob pisssani says oversold..when he really means overbought

sometimes the producer will catch it and they correct later...sometimes not

David...I am still laughing over insana cutting pisssssani off yesterday
I told Don that told me more than anything which way they want to spin things

pissani could have been saying..here is what happened last time there was a cut and analogize that the traders may have already priced in a second rate cut since many were expecting it...

BUT NO....Insana wouldnt allow such a thing...it was a classic moment..unfortunately I wasnt looking at the TV to see Pisssanis reaction...but I dont think they went back to him....

byron weim (he has been negative onthe market)
says we have bottomed
buy airlines retailers and banks

many firms saying that Green cutting rates now is a positive
