Thanks for the kind words.

I agree with your comments about Leon Cooperman. But what I believe is the real genius of someone like him, and genius is a terribly overused word, is that he discovered what he is good at and sticks with that. But yes a rising market makes a lot of people appear smart, the big question is how they do in a downturn. I'm often reminded of a comment I heard studying military history. The only way to judge the greatest of a general is to judge his ability in offense and defense. We will learn a lot about stock market generals, and ourselves, if we have a protracted downturn. Leon may or may not be right on Newhall but then no general wins every battle.

The great leveller here Henry is that everyone wants to get out of the South Bronx like Leon and they all want to be Leon. That is the other thing I like about Leon, I was born in the SOuth Bronx as well...5 blocks from Yankee Stadium.

Yes I am a contrarian but one needs to ba contrarian about that as well. After all as Ben Franklin said, moderation in all things including moderation.
