This stock may have significant straddle positions. (betting on a
large move in either direction) If it shoots low, you get out of the long and ride the profits down. Same concept the other way.
With that I suggest (guess) the long positions are being sold off
to drive down the value as much as possible before the short covering
begins, driving the stock back up. It this scenario is incorrect
would a better trader than I explain the concepts of straddle. Since
I've never played that game, there's a strong chance my thinking is
in error. Clinton on tv again. Can anyone ever remember a day he didn't show his face. He must tape these events to kick back and
watch in his rocking chair days. I can hear him now. "Damn, I had
nice hair back then". <ggg> hmmm, should have taped myself!!! Larry
