Ok Optim, just when I thought I was beginning to understand this stuff a little you go and say stuff like this.

If what you're saying is true then what's the point of investing extra bucks in a higher neuron rated program?

Are you saying that if you set NS to 15 neurons and during training it automatically increases to 50, then by retraining at less than 50 will give it more accurate predictions?

If we agree that NS identifies and relates more patterns at a maximum neuron setting, assuming that it doesn't memorize, wouldn't it then yield better predictions. (It's my understanding that the more current AI programs have safeguards to limit or even eliminate the programs tendency to memorize)

How can you tell whether NS is basing its prediction on memorization or generalization.
