yes, a falling dollar is the BEST thing for the rest of the world, but not necessarily for our financial mkts. Like I said, I knew they'd pull something like this and it actually makes things worse. The lesson is that you can't beat the mkt because it is bigger than you (and bigger than Easy Al)

But if you compare interest rates and S&P over the same time period, you will notice that a lower dollar and higher rates did not significantly affect the remarkable run of the S&P since '94.

The move from the Yen's peak is comparable to the devaluation in the Singapore Dollar or Taiwan Dollar or Yen against the US dollar up to that point. ie most of the devaluation of these currencies has been reversed.
