Looks like Greenspan and co acted with insight and I believe we might
get another 25 b.points cut in Dec as it is important to get the sagging Consumer Confidence back up to a more healthy level.

U Mich consumer sentiment 98.9 Oct-pre - sources

NEW YORK, Oct 16 (Reuters) - The University of Michigan's preliminary October index of consumer sentiment fell to 98.9 from a reading of 100.9 for the final September index, financial market sources said.

The current conditions component rose to 115.4 in the preliminary reading for October, from 111.7 in the final reading for September, they said.

The consumer expectations index fell to 88.2 versus 93.9 in the final reading for September, the sources also said.

The data are released only to paying subscribers.
