larry, you have a broken paradigm. who was telling you what would happen in 1998 back in 1997? i wasn't telling you what would happen in 1996, was i? why do you think that was?

intel lloks to have decided they want a dram mfr on us soil so they've decided to subsidize them a little. normally, this occurs when a company is in bad shape. mu is. the question is whether a $6.5 billion "value" represents a company in trouble.

however, i've learned reality doesn't matter so i need to be more discerning in my buy points.

i don't have the kind of dram price visibility for 1999 that i had for 1998. this does confuse things a lot for me. i don't think this will go well and mu has quite a whole to dig out of. losing money at the rate of nearly $200 million a q isn't a good starting place, though.

i get my buy points or i don't play mu.
