I am listening to call. It is my understanding tlab raised its estimates for 4th quarter to 60 cents and 2.40 for 1999. Both numbers above street estimates. Also, predicted higher sales than street for fourth quarter of 490 to 500 mil. Record backlog indicated. Many upgrades in earnings should be in short term future unless analysts don't believe tlab.

Muhney, if true (where did you get the data?) then TLAB revenue grew by 3.6% q/q, which pretty much jibes with Birck's comments about flat revenue. Tellabs revenues for Q2 were $387.7MM
