Gene, Re: I think anyone reading Paul's posts would come to the conclusion they should mortgage everything and put it in Intel. ;-)

Yes indeed and I believe he holds quite some.

>Like Paul, my Intel basis is very low
It has nothing to do with the basis. Even they are
free, based on your post, one should sell all of
them as they will be killed soon.

Gene, >>>Like Paul, my Intel basis is very low. This may not be the case for many investors.<<<

I think I know where you ae coming from - because you are no fool - for a fool and his beemer are soon parted.

But, please don't think you need to maintain an artificial balance. There are more than enough misguided people(Fiondella, Burke), unscrupulous operators (analysts, hedge fundies, etc), screwy competitors (Sanders, Herr Field Marshall Pfeiffer, Halla) and natural circustances (Asian malaise) to curb excessive exhuberance and inflated share prices.

In fact, I believe that Intel is undervalued because of their integrity and honesty and that they have become an easy mark for unscrupulous manipulators who over a long periood of time has undermined the value of the stock.

At this point in Intel's history, I think even I could head up Intel and show much faster growth and use accounting trickery to disguise the bottom line enough to send the stock soaring. If you could get a Gerstner type person to head up Intel now - they could send the stock to 200 in no time.

My point is, like yourself, I have a low cost basis for my Intel Investment but I'm sticking around because, intuitively, I think Intel is currently undervalued.

So don't be discouraged from telling us why you are still invested in Intel and don't be afraid that you may mislead people - you won't.

Regards,

Mary
