What about other companies IPR with WCDMA and cdma2000? There are more than a couple of companies in standardizing any technology.

Noticed there are quite a few patents held by a South African company for WCDMA.

Michael, That is an interesting proposition. Maybe Clark or engineer could comment on the possibility of Qualcomm producing a phone which is both cdmaOne, cdma2000 and W-CDMA compatible.

Of course, the adoption of W-CDMA instead of cdma2000 may well increase G*'s contribution to the cause and it's potential value.
