Looking back, I see the volume was higher than I thought, but from 8:09 to 8:18 it stayed 100x100 1/16, with maybe 2/3 at bid. 25k at 8:18:46, then it dropped less than two minutes later.

I don't see large buys as bullish for the stock unless they represent the beginning of a trend of buying interest. I've often seen large buys be followed by a drop -- assume it's because that represents the bulk of the buying interest for that moment. I've never seen this behavior have with such mechanical regularity as it has here. My theory is these 25k buys sprinkled throughout the morning are an engineered support that is only working moderately well -- and the way each one is greeted with a drop confirms that.
