I love this stock. Have to think those analyst for being so darn berish and dropping the price below $20. What a great company.

I bought a extra 1k shares yesteraday at 23 1/8 for a daytrade. I had planned to sell those for 23 5/8. For some reason, I decided to hold until the end of the day and see how this little gem moved. Still have those shares. Thinking about unloading 1k at 27 1/4 and buying back under 27.

Thanks, Jon Cave

Its not just things that have been known before, in my opinion. There are some little comforting details which have allayed some fears, ie., that the decrease in cap equipment growth has not hurt the business, but more subtle, and important undertones that came through on the call as well. (1) the Company is combining the reporting of telecom and datacom. This makes a strong statement that the company will participate in the convergence of voice and data, which will be one of the next great things. (2) Comment on tested switch density, moving from 150 mb to 2.5 gb throughput per switch port (increase of a factor of 16)is unbeleivable, and is a testament to the mega bandwidth made possible by GA. NGI requires that kind of performance, and VTSS is letting the world know that they will be a major player in the infrastructure buildout of NGI. We have all known this in broad outline before, but little things, like those egs mentioned above, signals that VTSS's ability to contribute to the bandwidth explosion may be just beginning, not maturing, as I think some have feared. To my way of thinking, the announcement of the new switch port capacity, may turn out in a few years time to have been the most significant item on the call.

Back over $27.....

Why in the world would anyone sell now? I believe sentiment is changing and the sell on the good news is not as wise a strategy as it might have been as recently as last week ( then again, that could switcharoo before I even finish this post :-) ).

No, any uncertainty about VTSS has been laid to rest. The rest is up to the Macro environment, which I see as improving. MoonBro's posts regarding telcom. expenditure speaks volumes to that.

I also own QCOM which just spun out a wireless telcom. called Leap Int'l. Rec'd a mailogram from Harvey White, the CEO; this is what he had to say about telcom expenditure:

" teledensity is critical to economic growth---the high correlation between teledensity and GDP per capita suggests that the telecommunications industry will continue to receive government and consumer support, even when resources are limited. "

"Busy selling I guess (Not you Chris, I know you've dumped your shares
below $24)."

Hey, no way. I've still got 40% of my long position. Sell order yesterday above 25 (upped a little after bullish Wednesday action) didn't fill. The rest is recent history. With trading profits folded back in, my basis is now just 5 1/4. So I'll let things ride -- unless we go overbought, which happens should we get back up near the old highs.

Let's hope the management knows their biz better than they know the local educational institutions.
