Interesting about Dodd.... It was from Dodd that I first heard of Clinton, sometime in the late '70's-early '80's, when I was active in the Connecticut Democratic Party. Dodd was insisting, with great fervor, that a young Governor of Arkansas was sure to be, and deserved to be, President some day.... I remember being surprised, at the time, that Dodd was not displaying interest in becoming a Presidential candidate himself: after all, he was intelligent, personable (this was before he got fat), experienced, articulate, & etc. Intead, he was pushing this Clinton guy, long before Clinton actually emerged on the national scene. I guess Dodd has special reason to feel he's been let down... jbe
