BostonView, people believe that there is not much letter writer support for XOMA but this is not true. Think there are about 7 "letters" that recommend it. Obviously these recommendations have not done much good. Broker recommendations many times depend on the existence of an underwriting relationship, rather than a real view of the prospects for the company. But, in the real world these are the recommendations that count the most.

This is one reason I like Eisingers articles at TSC, or thestreet.com as he always makes the bias of those quoted clear. He does not recommend stocks but his articles provide information on the real issues facing a company.

I think that the Discover article may stimulate other similar publications to at least look into XOMA and BPI since they were mentioned as one being farther down the long hard road, (my words), to approval. But since so many other companies were mentioned I am not sure that who others write about will be that easy to determine.
