Dongbu Group seeks buyer for electronics business

Dongbu Group, the Korean chaebol that unsuccessfully tried to become a DRAM maker, now reportedly is looking to sell its entire electronics subsidiary. Dongbu, which owns various other industrial operations, manufactures telecommunications components out of the fledgling electronics unit. The company hoped to build a DRAM fab using IBM technology, but dropped the plan when overtaken by the Asian financial meltdown
