Who will these companies defect to? Vantive, there is much more uncertainty to Vantive then Siebel ever had. Sap, they have no product now and might never have a product as robust as Siebels, by the time SAP delivers a solution what version of Siebel will be in production Siebel 99, Siebel 2000, Siebel 2001 or Siebel 2002. It is like saying because you are a Micorsoft shop you would go back to DOS or 3.11, it is not going to happen. The thread seems to focus on all that is wrong with the company(margins, integration issues) instead of all that is right, clearly the best Products, Management, Board of Directors, Sales Force, Marketing, Partnerships, etc.. Companies are buying these products because they increase productivity and customer retention, therefore increase bottom line. I will go out on a limb at predict Siebel has a blowout 4th quarter and I mean monster. If you are looking to daytrade this stock you have to be able to predict the market something that no body can do with any sense of certainty. If you are looking an incredible growth stock then all the signs are before you.

All JMO,

John
