ken <<If you stand back and take an objective view there are just too many Dell bulls out there. >>

how about these: 'there are just too many people with money to make more money'. or 'there are just too many people who live in homes for more homes to be built'. or 'there are just too many men wearing shorts in order for the shorts market to grow.' and so on.

i understand your point, but too many bulls does not necessarily mean that demand for an item is any less. the mystery of the street is that many times the price of a stock bears little function to it's immediate demand. the price of a stock is simply what someone is willing to buy/sell it at at any given time. they move the price up, they buy/sell it up, they move the price down, they buy/sell it down. so as long as a human (specialist or mm) continues to function as the ultimate origination of a stock price, 'too many bulls' does not necessarily mean 'everyone that has bought has already bought'.

i think money is too transient for such a catch-all statement

Well you're standing in the middle of a whole herd, cant see anything but horns or tails. I checked the local neighbors, not many knew what a Dell was. A few years back was only ~6800 shareholders.
But I agree the market is catching on now very fast, with
much new advertising , Mr Dells prominence as a speaker, and discussions of Dell( stock of the decade) on NBR etc.
But all this is going to help sustain or increase the price of the stock, so its not too late to buy, although each quarter or year that slips before buying will cost dearly on overall returns that might have been.(If only Ida bought it then,as in Jan at $21 !)

too many bulls out there
NAAAAAA!
Never too many DELL bulls.
Look at Coca cola. It is a loved stock. Everytime it goes down (with echos of "pe too high" in the ears) it goes up again. All those bulls to be waiting in the sidelines to buy it when it goes down.
And there are more.
Just like I'm waiting to buy GE but had no money to buy it when it was at my target price a few days ago.
Notice that when DELL falls it gets up VERY quickly. Many bulls we dont even know about (not everyone is on SI, arent they silly not to be?) getting on, sitting on the sidelines saving money to buy some, etc etc and so forth. As the story unfolds there will be more bulls.
Will there ever be too many?
When the story changes and the company is no longer growing by LEAPS and bounds.
Hey, its Friday, we get to forget about the market for two whole days!
But all this anxiety and angst is a small price to pay as we are slowly but surely on our way to being DELLionaires.
