Thanks Cheryl,

Unfortunately, based on the logic Keithsha is throwing on the board, no one will convince him of anything. He is just toooo farrr gone.

He does not want to hear that other non-MSFT solutions and platforms are possible. And it is clear that he has never lived in the real world of an IT shop.

To Keithshe the words "always" and "never" precede all his sentences. He doesnt get it concept that in a real world there will be NT, Unix, NetWare, MVS, etc. in one environment. One must pity the IT shops and people that have been brainwashed by MSFT to believe that the only right solution for all IT problems is a MSFT-only solution. To these shops, inferiority has become a feature that they must live with each day.

Thanks for making a judgement on this one though.

Toy

If they planned on using Netware for a trading system they would have said so explicitly. The vague increase trader productivity could mean anything from consolidating system logons to delivering a workstation application. I seriously doubt the CME plans on doing business (executing trades) on NetWare, if so I would suggest finding a way to profit from more chaos in the commodity markets :-)

The CME NetWare admins may have successfully defended their turf, so be it. NT will get another turn one day.
