Looks to me like their trying to "pin" the price to 80 to make the 80 Puts expire worthless.

I was noticing a similar "pinning" of other stocks to particular strike prices- CSCO to 55, AMZN to 100, YHOO to 115.

It seems more than coincidental that stocks end on prices ending in a five or a zero on option expiration day.

I've read about this "pinning"; I can't take credit for it.

Alan

<< Case in point, look at the volume and trading of PVN here at the end of the day.
BullSh!t up three points on this volume. Short at these levels....opening lower on Monday. >>

Tell me about it! Just goes to show you how much the markets are manipulated for the big guys, and the small fish just get fried. I didn't look, but does anyone know what the number of put/call contracts outstanding for PVN? Curious if someone was trying to protect a LARGE position.

Seuss, still short LBOR? What's your take on it lately. I see they're scheduled to report the 21st. Let's hope for some poor #'s. Probably will find some magical way to exceed expectations...(One good thing is the vol has been low despite move up.)

Did you enter PVN? I'm underwater. Missed the chance to cover for a 1pt loss, then it took off on me. Too stubborn to cover now (can't really seeing it going up anymore- it's awfully rich right now.)

good luck
