***Slightly off topic

I'm back on the job - the first week of a six-month contract and I am suffering heavily from day-trading withdrawal. It's funny, I sure didn't miss the mainstream world when I was day trading, but the opposite seems to be true. Fortunately I was heartened to find the Internet on my desktop - unfortunately disheartened to find them using an ancient browser incapable of the 128 bit encryption required to access my on-line trading account. Plus, they tell me all internet access is monitored. Day two…I dream up the possibility of trading via Greenline's voice line, albeit at higher commissions. Alas, I am constantly bothered by people who are expecting me to WORK. I see ABX in prime condition for a buy. I sneak down to the coffee shop, cell phone in hand and make my call. Unfortunately about 30 minutes have passed since the buy signal and it's too late. I hang up in dismay. Broken hearted I sneak back to my workstation and watch the ticker, deciding I will have to take a six-month hiatus or stick to position trades. Maybe a dispassionate six-month period of looking but no trading will do me some good, I rationalize. In the interval, I'll spend my spare time reading and re-reading all the trading books I've acquired. Meanwhile, watching the ticker is like licking honey through a glass jar …… I envy you guys.

Day and Night trading - Maybe someday - the markets will just not close or be open until midnight. I have often wondered why we just trade during those 7 hours.

Certainly a possibility in the future for all exchanges.
