Chartcraft stuff:

RS Sell Signals: AAR Corp, Biovail, CKE Restaurants, Delta Airlines (gave RS Buy 11/97), Honda, Consol. Stores,
Lennar (3/98), Monsanto (8/93...wow), Oak Industries, Peoplesoft (10/94...another stunner), Smithfield Foods (3/97)

Lots of Selling Climaxes in the financial area as I mentioned earlier in the week to Judy. A coincidence...I doubt it:

American Express ($67), Bear Stearns ($26), DLJ ($21), JP Morgan ($73), Bankers Trust ($45), Lehman Brothers ($23), MS Dean Witter ($37), Washington Âutual ($27), State Street ($48).

Fastenal also had a SC at $21.

-A move to 32% would put the NYSEBP in Bull Confirmed status. Also looking for a reversal in the % of 10 and some positive readings from the Two Second Indicator,

- Best short sale candidates come from stocks that have HPT's and Bull Traps on their p&f charts.

- Still of the opinion this is a rally within the context of a bear market. Downside po still remains 6,750 on the Dow.

Take care,
Bruce

Dick,

Building on Bruce's discussion of the two-second indicator, I suggest you also track a 5-day moving average. You could construct a simple two-second stochastic (TSS, plot or table, with a buy when the 5-day ma crosses below the 10-day ma, and a sell/warning when the 5- crosses above the 10-.

I have seen plots of the TSI, and it seems to work well.
