What is so frustrating is that Microsoft uses their abundant resources to have sales and marketing people in the faces of absolutely every partner in the field. Their competitors simply can't keep up with all the freebies and attention that MS floods their partners with and eventually has to settle for the back seat.>>

Novell needs to develop a master reverse marketing plan that provides specific incentives for individuals on referrals, callbacks, closes, etc.

I call this "downlining the CO" - central office. Utah is the heartbed of MLM programs.

In the day and age traditional sales and marketing will fade/morph into word of mouth trust networks that will be supported directly by the internet and the CO of any organization.

I'd like to form or tap into an existing trust network here - consisting of current and potentially new Novell users - in Chicago for the purpose of injecting energy from the street on Novell's turnaround story.
