Alex,

in the report is said CSCO was beating expectations for Q3:

OG
***************
From Credit Suisse First Boston:

MMC Networks (MMCN)
· Cautioning about near term flatness in revenue as older products fall off
and Asian woes continue. 1999 EPS reduced 10-15% to range of $0.45-
0.50 from $0.55 previously on 12% revenue reduction given low starting
point of Q4-99.
· Design-ins at still strong but orders weak leading to resumption of top line
growth by Q1-99. MMC is seeing increasing interest from major network-ing
vendors (potential new OEMs) but not expecting revenue until 1H-99.
· Cisco business is in good shape with business running ahead of plan for
Q3; Q4 still a wild card but relationship strong and have secured an addi-tional
design with Cisco.

Yes, I noticed that MMC was way down. I own VTSS and PMCS and both of those stocks have gone up about 50% in the last few days. So, everything is a go, except for that little company. VTSS sees no slow down what so ever. VTSS expects 65% growth next year and has 1 1/2 quarter backlog. VTSS biggest customer is Lucent. PMCS also had a very good quarter. AMCC beat the street by a penny.

I know very little about MMC except what I have read on the Yahoo and SI threads. Seems CSCO acounts for about 50% of MMC's business. I am worried about CSCO. If CSCO misses, then my portfolio gets shot.

If ASND can't beat their numbers this quarter, then there is no hope. Analysts have lowered their expectations since last years debacle and Morry has kept analysts projections in check. They have had 3 quaters to aim for October. Here we are! This company's future will be determined in the next few weeks or months. Go alone or be bought.
