There is information on the net somewhere about how to find lost pets. I remember reading about how the notices are the best way to locate your pet and to put them up farther from home than you think the pet may have wandered. The Copper sighting was a mile from my house, and the response that led me there was from the 2nd or 3rd round of notices I posted, from a guy who was visiting his mother.

The unfortunate problem with Copper was that he was already wild and very cautious so that I couldn't get to him. I still think of him frolicking in the wild somewhere...

I got all kinds of false leads. Be prepared for that.
