Hi all I just got this e-mail from my garbage stock promotor, NASDAQ BB Alert:

>REAL NETWORKS RNWK
>http://quote.yahoo.com/q?s=rnwk&d=v1
>RNWK 3:59PM 35.50 +2.25 +6.77% 614,500

>This is one of the stocks we follow. In our opinion, RNWK could
>become the clear victor in the video and audio streaming market,
>presently dominated by itself and Microsoft. We presented RNWK at around $24 >and shortly ran to a high of $41 1/4. Today , it closed at
>$35 1/2. It is a very tight stock and has high institutional ownership and a big short >position.

>Very aggressive management which will be a key factor in its success.
>In the Internet pack, we feel that RNWK has a very good shot of
>making it to the big leagues with its technology. Here is an example
>of managements aggressiveness which the market loved (a direct blow
>to Microsoft) :

>1) Oct 13th - Company recently signed a deal with Lotus, a division
>of IBM to expand its reach to the 25 million users of Lotus notes
>business users.

>2) Sept 28th - Signed a deal with AOL to distribute REAL PLAYER to
>AOL's 13 million subscribers.
>3) Signed a technology collaboration deal with Intel to Deliver
>Enhanced Quality and Breakthrough Performance of Streaming Media on
>the Web

>Earnings are due out on October 20th

Anytime I get this sort of hype from the e-mail bombing, I get to thinking that the stock is a good short.

What do you all think of this?
